We’re excited to announce the release of CA Mobile App Analytics 16.1. CA Mobile App Analytics is a tool that provides deeper insight into your mobile apps through performance, crash and usage analytics. With this new release, we’ve added features to reduce mean time to repair and simplify the installation and wrapping process.

Here’s what’s new in CA MAA 16.1:

New Features for IT Operations

Expanded Trend Charts

Visualization of HTTP Error Trends

Role Based Access

New Features for Developers

Android Wrapping Enhancements

Additional Support for Hybrid Apps

Support for the Kony Mobile App Development Platform

Optimized Privacy APIs

Expanded Trend Charts

With the release of CA MAA 16.1, we’ve introduced expanded trend charts which reduces mean time to repair (MTTR) by providing IT Operations teams with deeper visibility, filtering, and trend analysis on performance analytics.

This feature allows you to quickly zoom into the metrics that are exceeding thresholds. You can drill down into specific metrics and segment the data to see how the app is performing on certain app versions, devices, and networks.

Visualization of HTTP Error Trends

With CA MAA 16.1, we introduced granular HTTP error and trend reports which allows IT Operations teams to quickly identify and analyze HTTP errors and understand the impact to business transactions.

Granular HTTP error and trend reports allows IT Operations teams to gain deeper visibility into HTTP errors. With just a few clicks you can gain a high level view of which end-points are affecting app performance and drill down all the way to individual sessions to see how a specific error has impacted a business transaction. This helps you understand how the error is affecting users so you can prioritize which errors to fix first.

Role Based Access

With this release, we’ve introduced role based access which allows you to provide the appropriate rights to your CA MAA users and administrators.

Android Wrapping Enhancements

Developers can now take advantage of our improved Android wrapping methods which provides quicker time to value and reduced troubleshooting for interoperability issues.

These enhancements include auto-detection of missing resources and recommendations for resolution. In addition, the CA MAA Android wrapper can now auto-detect hybrid apps and wrap them appropriately.

Added Support for Hybrid Apps

The CA MAA SDK has been enhanced with additional support for hybrid applications. You can now capture custom metrics on Android hybrid apps, including events and screenshots. In addition, CA MAA now supports iOS hybrid apps.

Support for the Kony Mobile App Development Platform

This features makes it easy to implement CA MAA for hybrid apps developed using the Kony IDE platform.

Optimized Privacy APIs

Last but not least, we’ve optimized the CA MAA privacy APIs in the SDK which reduces the risk of collecting sensitive data. Developers can create private zones and only collect a finite set of metrics, so you have the ability to avoid the collection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as screenshots, login credentials, etc.

And that’s not all! We’ve added a number of other new features to improve your experience and the benefit you gain from using CA Mobile App Analytics. Watch the recent CA Mobile App Analytics Live Demo to learn more and visit the link below to sign up for the CA MAA Free Trial!
