Once a month we'll shine our virtual spotlight on one of the CA Workload AUtomation community's members. It's just a fun, easy way for us to get to know one another a little bit beyond our work-related interactions here on the site. This month, we're featuring Nicole Fagen, Sr Director, Product Management responsible for Customer Engagement and Project Success @ CA Technologies.  (Nicole_Fagen). 04e593a.jpg

Location:  Plano, TX

Current Gig:  Sr Director, Product Management responsible for Customer Engagement and Project Success

One word that describes how you work: Engaging

How do you use CA Communities and any suggestions for others?

To share empowering use cases, the latest features, education and countless customer engagement opportunities!

Mac or PC? PC, highly tempted by Mac, still on a PC

Mobile Device?  iEverything

Apps/software/tools you can’t live without?  To do list, messenger, iTunes

Besides your phone and computer, what's your favorite item?  Sneakers 

What’s your daily work space like?  I am fortunate to have highly talented, passionate and dedicate experts to work with every day!  We are in continuous conversation and my roles is to enable team members to thrive by breaking down barriers.  Barriers may include career, technical, customer engagement, decision making process … anything really.

How do you balance life/work?  I love my kids, we try very hard to have the dinner time and homework time together.  They teach me a lot about life and technology!  Scott and I are both fortunate to be at CA Technologies.  We talk about people and the funny things that happy at work, but try to avoid honest to goodness work discussion at home.

Best advice you can give and you have received?  The best advice I can give is to know what you are passionate about and seek a role that enables you to demonstrate those passions over and over.  I am forever seeking to match passion with CA Technologies business needs.  Our team has ample passion!!  A former manager who really enjoyed fishing taught me the importance of “teach them how to fish.”  What a difference it makes to go from one person who “can do IT” to an entire team to an organization to a company!

What everyday thing are you better at than anyone else?  Distinguishing needs and value from directives or wants then prioritizing and executing accordingly.
