Once a month we'll shine our virtual spotlight on one of the CA Process Automation community's members. It's just a fun, easy way for us to get to know one another a little bit beyond our work-related interactions here on the site. This month, we're featuring Andrew Thompson Senior Support Engineer - CA Technologies.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Current Gig: Senior Support Engineer supporting Process Automation, EEM and Common Component Solution Support
One word that describes how you work: Systematically
How do you use CA Communities and any suggestions for others? I review Open Questions to see where I can contribute. I would encourage everyone to get involved in the communities. It is only great when there is lots of involvement.
Mac or PC? PC
Mobile Device? Android
Apps/software/tools you can’t live without? Weather Channel, IMDB, Gmail
Besides your phone and computer, what's your favorite gadget? I actually won an Ipad Mini at a CA event. Being a PC guy I thought I would hate it. But surprisingly I have realized I now can’t live without it. I still would not say I’m a Mac guy though.
What’s your daily work space like? Very organized. I can’t stand a messy desk.
How do you balance life/work? I try to turn off the “work brain” at the end of the day although that isn’t always easy. I used to think about work through the night and learned quickly that doesn’t work so great. Being present in your life is important.
Best advice you can give and you have received? Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
What everyday thing are you better at than anyone else? I have been told that I am a very positive person and I try to see the good in others.
