At our CA World ’14 event taking place in Las Vegas, November 9-12,  our CA technical experts will present three highly-interactive education sessions on our CA Release Automation tool. These hands-on sessions will focus on creating action packs, upgrading your RA environment and enhancing security.  Below are short abstracts for each session:

  1. Learn to create your own action packs! RDK (Rapid Development Kit) Best Practices.  This is both a presentation and lab session where you will learn how to create action packs for use with CA Release Automation.  During this session you will receive an introduction to the RDK, then perform a hands-on exercise where you will use RDK environment and build out an action pack. Including using Script, Command line and Restful actions.

  1. Migrating from CA Release Automation 4.7 to 5.x. Here our CA Engineering SWAT will demonstrate how to upgrade your environment and migrate your applications to fully exploit the new features that are available in 5.0.x and 5.5. Also covered will be the new server architecture and connectivity, how to prepare for an upgrade or migration and Best Practice methodologies based on real world experience.

  1. Advanced CA Release Automation Configuration Topics. This presentation and Q&A session will show you how to provide added security within your Release Automation environment. The CA Engineering SWAT team will cover configuring SSL/TSL communication, integrating with MS Active Directory via LDAP/LDAPS, and the usages of user roles and permissions.

In addition to education, there will be live demonstrations, customer case study presentations, and breakout sessions. For the most up-to-date information on CA World '14 join our CA World Community and download the Devcenter Program Guide.
