Deploy PAM in AWS Amazon

By Maria Celeste Catena posted Apr 07, 2017 10:50 AM

You cannot deploy the regular OVA file into AWS – you need to request an AWS Amazon Machine Image (AMI) and deploy it, as described in the Online Documentation.

Procedure:

1) Open a case to PAM Support

2)  Provice the AWS Account number and deired region(s) you wish to use.

3)  Specify if this is for a customer or CA Internal use.

You will receive the AMI ID and AMI Name ready to deploy PAM.

Launch the AWS AMI Instance

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the AWS Management Console by selecting AWS Management Console, EC2.
  2. Launch an instance from an AMI.
After the instance starts, its state changes and it receives a public DNS name.

Connect to the AMI Instance

A CA PAM license is required before you can connect with the AMI instance.

Follow these steps:

  1. In the CA PAM UI, select Config, Network.
The Network Configuration screen is displayed.
  2. Enter the value for the DNS Server that Amazon Web Services assigns.
  3. Save your changes.

Start and Stop the Instance

Start the AMI instance only from the AWS Management Console. Stop the instance form the AWS Management Console or the CA PAM user interface.

  • To start and stop theCA PAM instance from the AWS Management Console, see the Amazon instructions for starting and stopping an instance.
  • To stop the instance from the UI, select Config, Power.
  • Select Stop Instance.
