CA Privileged Access Manager Tech Tip by Kelly Wong, Principal Support Engineer for 7th April 2017

 

Introduction

After CA PAM is upgraded to 2.6 release, users are prompted with following error as they attempt to access Target Servers via CA PAM:


Message 0: Error occurred while trying to complete request. (12)

 

Instructions

Steps to resolve the error:

  1. Login to CA PAM
  2. Navigate to Config >> Security, 'Sign Xsuite Applets' panel
  3. Click on 'Sign Applets with Certificate'
  4. Log out from the CA PAM session
  5. Clear Java cache
  6. Re-login to CA PAM

 

For browser-based Administrative UI, please remove browser cached contents/data in addition to the above steps.
