What do you enjoy about your work: Trying to find the best architecture, best concept and best implementation for a given challenge, digging into the details, sharing knowledge and experience, and take over personal responsibility for solutions, that’s my thing. 


About your family: I’m married with my wife since over 23 years now, and she’s the harbor and the heart of my life. We have two sons, Jan is 22 and Max is 19, both left our home already. Max just went away this year and it’s still a bit quiet at home sometimes. Well, time to open some new doors …. Nevertheless, we are very happy when they visit their old parents, being all together again.


Favorite 3 movies of all time: Matrix, The Bourne Identity, Lord of the rings


Favorite book: Hmm, one only is difficult... Henning Mankell: Der Feind im Schatten (The Troubled Man)


Favorite hobbies: singing, inline skating, restaurate and renovate the 180 years old house of my parents-in-law.


Interesting fact about yourself: Making music is one of the important things in my life. It is a perfect complement to my work life, it is pure rhythm and emotion. I love playing guitar and singing on my own, but making music with others is one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever made. I love to sing duets with my wife or singing challenging songs with my a capella choir (see picture). As Aristoteles said already: The whole being more than the sum of its parts. That’s magic J
