IM Community update

December 2014

This is the December 2014 IM Community update. These updates include a summary of the topics we discuss during our monthly board meetings which takes place every 2^nd Wednesday of the month with the Product Managers for the IM products and other CA employees relevant for our community.  You can find all the board members listed on the page More about the IM Community Board Members.

Webcasts

Our webcasts schedule is for every 3^rd Tuesday of the month.

Currently planned webcasts are:

• December 16: Stuart Weenig – Application Delivery Analysis
• January 20: CA - DCIM - Converged Capacity: Extending DCIM to Manage Data Center and IT Capacity
• February 17: eHealth best practices (suggested)
• March 17: Spectrum product update (suggested)
• April 21
• May 19
• June 16

Based on feedback and YouTube statistics for the replays we have decided to try and limit the duration of the community webcasts to 15-30 minutes. To still be able to present everything we would like, we will schedule extra webcasts where required. In February and March we will try to schedule extra webcasts to present the results from the recent surveys done by CA for the products in our community.

Feel free to contact us if you have a suggestion or request for a topic. We are also always looking for people who are willing to present on how they use the IM products.

Technical Event

Based on the responses to our poll, we (CA and the community leaders) have now started preparations for a technical event for the IM products in EMEA next year. We are currently looking at a one or two day event in the 28-30 April timeframe at Ditton Manor, Ditton Park (near the CA Technologies office in the UK).

The IM products which will be covered are:

• CA Spectrum
• CA eHealth
• CA Unified Infrastructure Management (UIM, formerly CA Nimsoft Monitor)
• CA Performance Management

We are now looking for input from the community on topics you would find of interest for this event. Even if you are not able to attend the event, we would like to get your feedback by taking the short survey which will help us to put together an agenda with topics of interest to the community.
