IM Community update
January 2015
This is the January 2015 IM Community update. These updates include a summary of the topics we discuss during our monthly board meetings which takes place every 2nd Wednesday of the month with the Product Managers for the IM products and other CA employees relevant for our community. Webcasts
Our webcasts schedule is for every 3rd Tuesday of the month.
Currently planned webcasts are:
- January 20: Converged Capacity: Extending DCIM to Manage Data Center and IT Capacity
- February 17: Introducing the New CA Performance Management r2.4 for High-Scale Network Monitoring, Reporting and Predictive Analytics
- March 17: Spectrum product update (suggested)
- April 21: eHealth best practices (suggested)

- June 16
Feel free to contact us if you have a suggestion or request for a topic. We are also always looking for people who are willing to present on how they use the IM products.
Technical Events
Based on the responses to our poll, we (CA and the community leaders) have now started preparations for a technical event for the IM products in EMEA this year. The team is currently planning for a one or two day event in the week of the 27th of April at Ditton Manor, Ditton Park (near the CA Technologies office in the UK).
The IM products which will be covered are:
- CA Spectrum
- CA eHealth
- CA Unified Infrastructure Management (UIM, formerly CA Nimsoft Monitor)
- CA Performance Management
We are still looking for input from the community on topics you would find of interest for this event. Even if you are not able to attend the event, we would like to get your feedback by taking the short survey which will help us to put together an agenda with topics of interest to the community. Resignation Stuart Weenig
Unfortunately Stuart Weenig, our communications officer, decided to resign from the IM community board. Changes in his work as well as changes within (the organization of) the communities have led to that he could no longer continue his work as a community board member to his satisfaction.
We would like to thank Stuart for all the time and effort he put into helping this community grow to where it is today and we will certainly miss his participation in the community board. Luckily for the community, Stuart will still stay an active member of the online community, so we will still benefit from all the knowledge and experience on the IM products which he shares with us.
Because of upcoming changes CA is working on for the community leadership model, we will not be looking for a replacement at this time. More on these changes will follow in the coming months.
