A New Chapter to Connect, Learn and Share

Welcome! We are excited about launching the new CA Communities platform and we want you, our members, to have everything you need to get engaged. The power of community is what brings users back every day and attracts new members. A feature rich platform will allow for greater capabilities to connect, learn and share.

We can’t wait to hear your thoughts and get your feedback. There are tons of new features and places to visit, and below are a few we are particularly excited to share.

First, the CA Communities homepage will be a main source for important news and events taking place in the communities. The homepage will feature training resources, community announcements, and so much more! Please make sure to check back regularly for updated events and announcements.

Next, interactive individual profiles. Profiles now include your profile photo, an avatar of your choice, and cover photos where you can feature both your work and personal personas. You can also enhance your profiles with customizable bios where you can share your experiences and strengths as well as your interests/hobbies. Last, but certainly not least, you can add your skills and areas of expertise which get endorsed by your friends and colleagues.

The playing field has been leveled; all gamification points have been reset to zero. Start participating in communities today by posting, answering/asking questions, liking, sharing and more to earn points, achievements, glory, and bragging rights.  Show off your achievements on your profile. (Helpful hint: if you click on your profile, hover over points under your profile photo and click ”view points details,” you will see “activity, missions, communities, ranking” click “Missions” and you will see various ways to earn points and badges.)

Wait, there is still more:

  • More dynamic community homepages which will include featured community members, top posts, featured content, and more!
  • New content options such as videos, collaborative documents and more event options.
  • Recent activity feeds and custom streams – latest/most popular activity.
  • Applications available for mobile devices, as well as the ability to type communities.ca.com into your mobile browser to access the site
  • All content now stored under content tab with the ability to sort, filter, and separate out by product category

After countless hours of pouring over everyone’s feedback and suggestions, testing, optimizing, and re-testing, we are proud to finally be unveiling the new CA Communities. We look forward to the next exciting chapter of community engagement, and all the amazing content, ideas, and knowledge that our users will share. That truly is the power of community.
