Community Alert: Spam & The Current Situation

As many of you may saw in our system announcement posted earlier in the week, we have been experiencing an increase number of spam postings in the communities. We were not alone as several enterprise communities, including our platform vendor, have recently come under a wave of spam attacks.

 

HOW DOES THIS IMPACT YOUR CA COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE?


We have put measures in place to control the situation and work towards eliminating the spam, but this will likely change your everyday CA Community experience (temporarily)

 

We have turned off e-mail subscriptions. This will ensure that you have continued access to the communities through the online web site and Jive Mobile app (iOS App & Android App).

 

We have turned moderation up –  at times, this may include all members – so there may be a delay in your post showing up in the community. This will include new member registrations. We working around the around the clock, so you won’t have to wait long before your content is posted. Please do not re-post an item once you have submitted it so we can avoid duplicate content.

 

We understand that this situation is not ideal, but we are committed to putting the right measures in place to ensure the best customer experience possible.  If you see questionable content come through, please help us by reporting the content as spam using the Report Abuse button: https://communities.ca.com/thread/241701798.
