This download provides an example of a long running process managed with events along with instructions. Typically CA Process Automation processes are transactional. The process is initiated, performs a number of operations then exits. Depending on the process and other activities the “start up” and “tear down” latency can have a significant impact on throughput. However, some use cases are better addressed with a long running process – similar to a service or a daemon. The process is loaded and running awaiting externally generated events to act upon.
