Product Announcement: Important Patch Pre-requisite Information

CA Patch Manager: Prerequisite KB2919355 for Windows 8.1 and 2012 R2 security rollups
The purpose of this announcement is to notify you that the CA Content Team has modified the Windows 8.1 and 2012 R2 rollups to only apply to machines having KB2919355 installed. In case the patch KB2919355 is not installed, the rollups will not attempt installation. This is in line with Microsoft's strategy to publish security updates in the download center for Windows 8.1 and 2012 R2 only with KB2919355 installed. Customers can deploy the individual patch KB2919355 to the respective operating systems prior to rollup deployment. The following patches are available in CA Patch Manager.
