Whenever possible, we report the MOS value (and accompanying network metrics) that is reported by the phone to the call server after a call.  In a Cisco environment, when the call involves a gateway, we use SNMP to gather statistics from the gateway’s MIB to calculate MOS from the gateway’s perspective (based on the G.107 specification).  In an Avaya environment, we collect performance statistics from the endpoints/phones and gateways and use that data to calculate MOS (based on the G.107 specification).  For medianet environment and Sonus environments, UC Monitor calculates MOS for audio streams based on the available information (again based on the G.107 specification).
