RA 9.0.161 Data from Unlicensed Interfaces Patch

Aug 07, 2014 11:20 AM

There is a defect in 9.0.161 that we run into often in Support that causes data from unlicensed interfaces to show up in active interfaces in RA.

-The usual symptoms are seeing host/conversation data on an interface it should not be on.

-Also you may see more data than expected on an interface or interfaces.
It is recommended if you are running ReporterAnalyzer 9.0.161 only that you apply the patch below even if you are not seeing this issue yet as a preventive measure.

This has been resolved in newer releases of NFA.

RESOLUTION

Download the following ZIP file onto the RA master console or standalone server:
ftp://ftp.ca.com/pub/netqos/product_patches/RA/9.0/26345/pump2.zip

1)Stop the NetQoS ReporterAnalyzer Pump service on the RA master console or standalone server.

2)Back up the entire folder D:\netqos\reporter\NetQoS.ReporterAnalyzer.PumpService\bin to another location.

3)Extract the files in the ZIP to D:\netqos\reporter\NetQoS.ReporterAnalyzer.PumpService\bin, overwriting the current files.

4)Start the NetQoS ReporterAnalyzer Pump service again.
