Problem

Receiving error "Invalid - No SNMP Settings" message when applying a policy in Virtual Assurance for Infrastructure Managers (VAIM)

Root Cause

 

This message indicates the agent is configured on a different port and the policy is not defined with the correct port and community string.
In the example below, the above error is generated if this policy is deployed to a SystemEDGE agent configured to run on port 161.

Solution

Select the correct community string and port the agent is configured to run.

 

Find the port SystemEDGE is using:
Launch the Control Panel -> Click CA SystemEDGE -> Click on sysedge.cf button -> Scroll to the bottom of the file then look at the value for default_port
