FAQs for the CADRE Technical Conference

 

 

Q –   What is the CADRE Technical Conference?

 

A –   It is a Technical Conference designed by CA DATACOM users for CA DATACOM users.

 

 

 

Q –   When and where is it located?

 

A –   January 20th – 23rd, 2015 in the CA Development Center in Plano, Texas.

 

 

 

Q –   How much does it cost?

 

A –   The conference itself is FREE. The costs to attendees is transportation to and from the CA Development Center in Plano, Texas; hotel for 4 nights (the CADRE Hotel is the Aloft Hotel/Frisco, $157.07 @ night), and a few meals.

 

 

 

Q –   What about the rest of the meals for the conference?

 

A –   CA is providing some breakfasts, two lunches and an off-site dinner  CADRE is providing two lunches and an Event Night @ Cross Creek Ranch. 

 

 

 

Q –   What is included at the conference?

 

A – January 20th will be FREE Education for DBAs and Application Developers plus small focus group sessions to discuss YOUR technical needs. January 21st to mid-day January 23rd will be a mix of high-level presentations by CA Senior Management, CA Technicians and Datacom users on topics that you request to increase your value on your job back home.

 

 

 

Q –   Who are the Keynote speakers?

 

A –   The speakers for the conference are Michael Madden, General Manager for Mainframe, David Hodgson, SVP for Databases & Analytics, Vikas Sinha, Sr. Product Manager for Agile Development. Michael Harer, Sr. Principal Product Manager for Big Data; and Kevin Shuma, Vice President-Product Management.

 

 

 

Q –   How do I register for the conference?

 

A -    Go to the CADRE page on CA Communities or respond to our listserv blast and complete a registration & preferences form and send it to mgowen@us.ibm.com.  Since the number of ‘seats’ for the conference are limited do this ASAP. 

 

 

 

Q –   What sessions are being offered?

 

A -    There will be a wealth of information provided in keynote sessions, general sessions as well as those sessions selected by you, the conference attendee. Examples would include: CA Datacom/Ideal V15.0 as well as V14.01 and V14.02, High-availability, Modern application development with SQL, ODBC and JAVA.
