Release Automation KB: Progress Bar Hangs During Upgrade

Problem Summary


Version 5.0

 

When upgrading from a previous version to version 5.0, the progress bar hangs. The user may receive many prompts to click "Yes" to prior to the hang.

 

 

Cause

 

There is not enough hard drive space free for the upgrade to complete.

 

The version 5.0 upgrade requires 3.5GB of space to be free for the installation folder, and another 3.5GB of space for the TEMP folder, so a total of 7GB of space must be free in order to complete the upgrade.

Resolution

 

Free up the required amount of disk space, then retry the upgrade.
