Subject:   General Availability Announcement for CA Datacom Server for

                 z/OS Version 15.0

 

On behalf of CA Technologies, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services.  As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that CA Datacom Server for z/OS Version 15.0 is now available.

 

New features for CA Datacom Server Version 15.0 include:

 

  • Failover Without Interruption. CA Datacom Server Version 15.0 customers will be able to specify RECONNECT_ATTEMPTS and RECONNECT_DELAYS parameters to provide support for the CA Datacom/DB Shadow MUFplex. This support will allow a Server region to remain up and operating (in a paused state) when the attached CA Datacom MUF instance is terminated and is being replaced by a new instance. Once the new MUF instance is operational, the Server region re-establishes the connection.
  • Additional JDBC Methods. CA Datacom Server Version 15.0 provides fully-implemented versions of the client info methods as well as new support for batch processing methods such as addBatch, executeBatch, and clearBatch.
  • ODBC Batch Processing. CA Datacom Server Version 15.0 implements a batch capability for insert, update, and delete statements which allow multiple statements to be executed as a batch.
  • ODBC 3.8 Conformance Level. CA Datacom Server Version 15.0 ODBC driver conforms to the ODBC 3.8 standards.
