Hello team,

In the past, I have been under the impression that ALL of the integration information about CAPC that is stored in Spectrum lives in the netqos_integ DB in MySQL under the <specroot>\MySQL\data.

I have seen this info copied in several issues.

This info is WRONG.

Here is the correct info:

SYNCH CAPC

Monday, October 20, 2014

11:26 AM

Communication between the CAPC and the Spectrum data source is done through the axis2 web services.

*

The CAPC data source synch has 2 main steps.

The pull and the push.

In the pull, CAPC requests info about the contents of the IP domains.

In the <specroot>/tomcat/logs/Catalina.out

We see:

Oct 15, 2014 11:55:43 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-15) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - Out pullRequest: IsComplete: false

Oct 15, 2014 11:55:43 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-15) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - In pullRequest: ClientSessionId: a229f2f5-c8db-4dad-a3ae-6cb0233548be, StartUtcTime: 1413387772, EndUtcTime: 1413388540

Oct 15, 2014 11:55:43 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-15) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - Out pullRequest: IsComplete: false

Oct 15, 2014 11:55:43 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-15) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - In pullRequest: ClientSessionId: a229f2f5-c8db-4dad-a3ae-6cb0233548be, StartUtcTime: 1413387772, EndUtcTime: 1413388540

Oct 15, 2014 11:55:45 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-15) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - Out pullRequest: IsComplete: true

Oct 15, 2014 11:55:45 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-3) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - In endPull: ClientSessionId: a229f2f5-c8db-4dad-a3ae-6cb0233548be, StartUtcTime: 1413387772, EndUtcTime: 1413388540

Oct 15, 2014 11:55:45 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-3) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - Out endPull: BaseUtcTime: 1413387772, IncrementUtcTime: 1413388540

**

Then there is the push, where we send info to Spectrum.

The push has 5 phases:

Oct 15, 2014 8:59:06 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-4) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - processing INIT(1) phase of push

*

Oct 15, 2014 8:59:07 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-15) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - processing DEVICES(2) phase of push

*

Oct 15, 2014 9:12:10 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-14) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - processing INTERFACES(3) phase of push

*

Oct 15, 2014 9:15:12 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-14) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - processing GROUPS(4) phase of push

*

Oct 15, 2014 9:15:12 AM (http-bio-8080-exec-14) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - processing PROPERTIES(5) phase of push

and here we see what is coming over from the CAPC host to Spectrum in phase 5

Oct 14, 2014 2:19:59 PM (http-bio-8080-exec-5) (NetqosSyncLog) - (DEBUG) - EventManager web services connection data:

   webServiceScheme - http

   webServiceHost - 192.168.14.90

   webServicePort - 8481

**

once processed by Spectrum, this information is stored in memory ONLY in Spectrum!

It is not kept any where else.

It is not kept in the netqos_integ DB in MySQL in Spectrum OneClick, this contains only mapping info.

**

To refresh or update this info, do a full synch of the Spectrum data source in CAPC.
