Upgrading CABI 3.3 SP1 Tomcat7 to latest Tomcat7 version on Windows
Here is the detailed procedure for upgrading CABI 3.3 SP1 default tomcat (7.0.27) to latest version of Tomcat 7 (32-bit) in Windows:
1) Stop Tomcat Service (Apache Tomcat 7.0.27) via Central Configuration Manager, wait couple of minutes before proceeding to step 2
2) Rename the existing tomcat installation directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\Tomcat7) to Tomcat7_Original
3) Download apache-tomcat-7.x.y-windows-x86.zip from http://tomcat.apache.org/download-70.cgi Do not get the windows installer version; download the 32-bit zipped version.
4) Extract the contents of the latest version of apache-tomcat-7.x.y.zip into the C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3 directory
5) This should create a directory called apache-tomcat-7.x.y
6) Rename apache-tomcat-7.x.y directory to Tomcat7
7) Copy bobjsetup folder from Tomcat7_Original to Tomcat7
8) Replace Internet Shortcuts tomcat_admin and tomcat_home in Tomcat7\bobjsetup with Tomcat6\bobjsetup files.
9) Navigate to Tomcat7\webapps folder and delete (or move to temp folder) ROOT, docs, examples, host-manager and manager sub folders
10) Open a command prompt, and change directory C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\deployment
11) Run the following command:
wdeploy tomcat7 deployall
12) This may take few minutes to complete
13) Copy C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\Tomcat7_Original\webapps\OpenDocument\WEB-INF\web.xml to C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\Tomcat7\webapps\OpenDocument\WEB-INF\web.xml
14) Optional Step – Needed only if you have changed default CABI Tomcat ports - Change C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\Tomcat7\conf\server.xml file to reflect the non-default port numbers. Please see apache web site for more details.
15) Optional Step: Needed only if you have changed default CABI Tomcat web.xml - Copy C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\Tomcat7_Original\conf\web.xml to C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\Tomcat7\conf\web.xml
16) Start Tomcat Service (Apache Tomcat 7.0.27) via Central Configuration Manager.
