CA Scheduler Job Management Tuesday Tip by Grace Strauther, Principal Support Engineer for January 13, 2015

CA Scheduler has an option to delay submission of a schedule or job once all the predecessors have been completed.  The parameter DELAY TIME is only used upon when the status is “waiting for predecessors” and when the last predecessor completes.

The value is in the format of ddhhmm, where dd is the number of autoscans that the job or schedule should wait and hhmm is the number of hours and minutes.

As best practice, increase the desired minute value by 1 minute to get full minute value. CA Scheduler evaluates the minute value only and does not consider the seconds value for calculation.   For example, mm value should be 16 minutes to get the full 15 minute value.
