Tech Tip: Process alerts not clearing

I have created a process monitor to raise an alert in Spectrum and in SOI when it is down. When this alert is cleared in Spectrum, it does not clear in SOI. I have turned on debugging to verify that the "Delete" is occuring from the Spectrum connector.


On the connector machine under SOI_HOME\catalogpolicy\extensions,there is a policy "spectrumim_policy.excludeminor-major.xml" which is deployed and will filter out all events that do not have severity=Critical. Since the alert clear events have severity=Normal, they will be filtered out. You can add a condition to allow severity=Normal, or use an exclude on severity=Minor or severity=Major.
