Dear CA Customer:
The purpose of this Advisory is to share inform pertaining to the 2015 leap second event. Leap seconds can
be added in UTC at the end of June or December, depending on the evolution of UT1-TAI.
Per IERS Bulletin C 49, a new leap second will be added on June 30, 2015 23:59:60 UTC.
PRODUCT(S) AFFECTED: RELEASES:
CA Workload Automation (AutoSys) 11.0, 11.3, 11.3.5, 11.3.6
IMPACT:
All CA Workload Automation (AutoSys) date and time operations are completed through Operating System
function calls. Thus, the additional leap second will not affect the operation of CA Workload Automation
(AutoSys) nor any of the associated components provided the host operating system handles the leap
second correctly.
As a reference, there were no reports of adverse impact to Workload Automation (AutoSys) during the
most recent leap second addition on June 30, 2012 (Bulletin C 43).
RECOMMENDATION:
CA recommends keeping up to date on time and date related patches for your Operating Systems.
