Environment

Any current Windows environment (Windows 7, Windows Server 2012, etc.).

Problem

Automation Studio (also known as ASAP) is unable to collect logs. When attempting to do so, the following error may occur:

http://[ServerName]:8080/log_collector/[LogFileName].zip [could not create: C:\Users\[UserName]\Desktop\[LogFileName].zip]

Note: For more information about how to collect logs through ASAP, please refer to the following KB post:

Cause

Windows User Account Control (UAC) is blocking ASAP from gathering the required logs.

Solution

Disable UAC on the Windows machine (which may require a reboot), then attempt to collect the logs through ASAP again.
