STEP 1
Check if ccii is working fine for Manager and Agent machines:
Run the commands:
ccii
ccinet status
rmtcntrl status
STEP 2
If the above is fine - use the below commands to test connectivity:
On Manager
ccir
On Agent
ccis <manager machine name>
Now the other way around:
On Agent
ccir
On Manager
ccis <agent machine name>
STEP 3
If the above holds good, it is better to check out the cautenv dumpini on the Agent Machine - use the below commands:
On the Agent Machine
cautenv dumpini
check for CA_OPERA_NODE this should point to the manager machine (for Windows) (just for knowledge use the command cautenv setlocal CA_OPERA_NODE=<machine name> to change the machine name)
If the Manager Machine is Unix or Linux then you may have to configure the RMT component of CCI by adding a REMOTE entry to the CCIRMTD.RC file if you have not done this already.
STEP 4
On the Manager Machine:
Check for Event Manager(caiopr) in unifstat output
STEP 5
Test the connectivity from the Agent Machine, run the command
cawto hi
Confirm if the message hi is seen on the Manager Machine
STEP 6
If all the steps hold good, try restarting the services on the Manager Machine (all ca services, automation services):
1. stop/start all the services (all ca services, automation services) from services.msc,
2. then run the command:
unicntrl stop all
ccicntrl stop
ccicntrl start
unicntrl start all
The above should resolve the issue, good luck
