tzdata Defect Advisory - [ 06 February 2015 ] -- Potential kernel panic during leap second insertion

tzdata Timezone Database

Red Hat has issued an errata against tzdata for several versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The tzdata package must be updated in order to accommodate to issues that may be experienced during a leap second insertion event scheduled for 20 June 2015. Red Hat has issued errata RHEA-2015-0141 to address this issue in multiple versions of their products.

CA Technologies has reviewed the impact of this issue against our product suite to ensure that we understand the extent to which the API Management suite is impacted. It has been determined that particular deployments of the API Gateway and API Developer Portal may be impacted and should be patched accordingly.

A potentially impacted tzdata RPM package is currently installed on all form factors and versions of the CA API Gateway. The remediation for this vulnerability is included in the February 2015 Platform Security Update. Customers are strongly recommended to keep up-to-date on the Platform Security Updates in order to remain secure.
