Tech Tip

nhspectrumsetup - Why use it?

If you have integrated eHealth with Spectrum,

There are some options on the eHealth side to access Spectrum.

  1. You can launch the Spectrum GUI from elements in eHealth.
  2. You can run or schedule discoveries within eHealth and use the Spectrum global collections as seed files. (nhDiscover -spectrum)

from eHealth Spectrum Integration Guide p. 19:

The nhSpectrumSetup utility provides the launch for the OneClick link.

(If you are using SSL with OneClick, the SSL certificate must be installed (see

page 16) before you run nhSpectrumSetup.)

nhSpectrumSetup script on eH servers, used for the Spec/eH integration:

- calls and runs a java app with the values provided when running the nhSpectrumSetup command

- sets the parameters values in the nh_parameter table in the eH DB

To display the values of this table run nh_parameter -list

(this command only lists special parameters)

If you have a distributed eHealth cluster, you can set these values on all members at once using the nhrun command.
