Tech Tip - How can I update all the members of my eHealth cluster at once?

Q,

If I have to run a command or query, is there a way to run this on all cluster members at once.

Or do I have to manually log into each host one at a time?

A,

Yes, you can use the nhRunCommand tool.

This allows you to execute on all or selected members of the cluster at once.

*

C:\>nhRunCommand -h

nhRunCommand executes a specified command on one or more eHealth systems in the Distributed eHealth cluster.

nhRunCommand [ -h ][ -rev ] { -host <hostname> | -cluster | -all }

      -cmd '<string>' [ -attachFile1 <pathname>... ]

      [ -returnFile <1-5> <pathname> ] [ -retryTime <seconds> ]

      [ -timeout <seconds> ]

*

The following example runs the nhShowRev command on each cluster member and returns the output to the local system:

nhRunCommand -all -cmd 'nhShowRev'
