  1. Q.

I need to delete a large number of retired elements from my eHealth database.

How can I accomplish this?

  1. A.

Always start by doing an ASCII save of your database.

You can accomplish this using the nhListElements and nhDeleteElements commands.

List the retired elements.

nhListElements -where "nmsState matches Retired" > retired.txt

then modify the retired.txt for the elements you want to delete and run the following:

nhDeleteElements -inFile retired.txt
