VI core processes are:

 

tomcat/jsvc – Web Server - port 12002 and 12005

vms            – Probe component

nsi              – 3D Server - port 12001 - 2 processes should be running

emps          – Alarm Server - port 12005

vls              – License Server - port 12003

postgres    – Database Server - port 5432

 

To kill all VI processes (as "root"):

for pid in $(ps -ef | grep -e vls -e nsi -e emp -e java -e jsvc -e slon -e postgres | awk '{ print $2 }') ; do kill -9  $pid; done

 

To start each VI process (from "root" shell):

vms:        su - vdc -c "cd /opt/VDC/monitor/vms/bin;./vms start >/dev/null 2>&1 &"

nsi:          su - vdc -c "cd /opt/VDC/3DService/Nsi/bin/;nohup ./nsis start &"

emps:      su - vdc -c "cd /opt/VDC/emp_server/Release;nohup ./emps start >/dev/null 2>&1 &"

vls:          su - vdc -c "cd /opt/VDC/bin;nohup ./vls start >/dev/null 2>&1 &"

postgres: su - postgres -c "/usr/local/pgsql/bin/pg_ctl -D /usr/local/pgsql/data start"
