Tech Tip: ActiveMQ not starting after successful Data Aggregator installation

Sep 08, 2015 12:55 PM

This scenario happens if the Data Aggregator is not able to resolve it's own name.

Data Aggregator installation log shows no errors at all

A manual attempt to start activeMQ, appears to start a pid, but then when checked, the process is found not to be running

Check the /ETC/HOSTS file and make sure that there is an entry for the Data Aggregator, itself, in the Hosts file

Example

192.168.1.100     DataAggregatorName.domain.com         DataAggregatorName
