CA WCC: Newly configured WAAE server/instance does not appear in QVIEW, Monitoring, Views and Dashboard (Server widget)

Sep 09, 2015 04:27 AM

Environment:

~~~~~~~~~~~
CA Workload Control Center 11.3.5, 11.3.6 and 11.4 SP1.
Problem Description:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After creating a new CA WAAE Server (version of AE regardless) configuration and validating the server successfully,

this newly added server does not show up in the Dashboard (Views, Server widgets), QVIEW Server drop-down, and Monitoring tabs in WCC.

However, the new server appears in other tabs (Credentials, ECLI, QEDIT, Forecast, Resources, Application Editor....).

Solution:

~~~~~~~~~
This behavior may manifest if, while creating the WAAE Server in WCC Configuration, the "Collector Mode" under the Monitoring Preference was set to "filter" instead of the default "all".
(Please see attached image for a screen capture).
To make the WAAE server appear in the missing tabs (Dashboard, QVIEW Server drop-down, and Monitoring), change the Collector mode to "all" and Save the configuration.
