New RACF connector -"Error listing RACF Userid objects: Unable to authenticate"

Oct 19, 2015 09:49 AM

In IdeintityMinder 12.6 SP4 we have come across a case where when creating a new RACF connector and trying to explore and correlate the customer is getting an error:

ETA_E_0257<EAC>, Error listing RACF Userid objects: Unable to authenticate to CN=etaadmin,host=XXXXX,o=YYYY.com,c=us: ZZZZZ USER(ETAADMIN) GROUP( ) NAME(??? )

Here are the steps to resolve:

1) Within the Provisioning Manager, go to RACF Endpoint property sheet & then Endpoint Settings and uncheck the option "Use logged-in Administrator's credentials". It may be already unchecked. Check it and un-check again.

2) Within the Provisioning Manager, go to RACF Endpoint property sheet and apply the correct userID and password for the "Proxy Admin" credentials. This should not be ETAADMIN.

3) Stop and restart both the CA LDAP started task as well as CA Provisioning Server

Nino, you are correct!
