Tech Tip: SOI DST Change

Oct 28, 2015 04:19 PM

Here are some known issues we encountered in the past after a DST change occurred and the solution to prevent them:

- The logs messages in SOI\logs and tomcat\logs may show old time

- The SLA's may go inactive

- Some of the SLA's may still stay inactive after applying the following solution, the "Starthour" in SLOScheduled table may show correct time. This this case you'll have to delete and recreate the inactive SLA.

To resolve the above mentioned issues please make sure you have the ‘Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time” is checked, this is needed because java adjust its time based on the localhost's time zone setting and SOI uses the time zone setting the java uses.
Make sure the time zone setting is correct for your local area. If you have to make changes to the time zone setting manually it is advisable to reboot the server.
