Tech Tip : Login to USM Web View Fails

Problem:

Everytime we try to login to USM Web View it fails with "ERROR(WI0001):ERROR Sorry, there has been an error on the page you requested cannot be displayed. Please try again later or click on the CA Technology log to go the main page". Soiui-debug.log shows the following error everytime we try to login to USM Web View:

"DatabaseCreator - Failed to create database tables for registry resource store. Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (The syntax of the connection URL 'jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://:/;instance=' is invalid.)"

This document details where/how you need to change the SA Store password, the files mentioned here also

contains the jdbc connection information. Since the above problem happens on the SOIUI side you'll have to look in to the <SOI_HOME>\wso2registry\repository\conf\registry.xml and user-mgt.xml and make sure each of the files has the correct information (look into the

tomcat\lib\hibernate.cfg.xml file for correct info.) and make changes as necessary.

Recycle the UI service
