We will be starting in a few minutes!

from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:

If anyone has any questiosn please ask them now!

from Andrea Holmes to Everyone:

I hope no one has asked this question yet.  During the 14.1.02 Cumulative Patch meeting there were some questions around the new functionality allowing the users to save queries.  I'm not sure it was completely answered.  In the current system when a user creates Personalized Scoreboards, the existing role based Scoreboards are all copied for that user and they no longer have access to any of the changes made.  Will the new functionality to save searches do the same thing or wiill it add to the role based scoreboards?

from Avneesh Bhatnagar (CA) to Everyone:

@Andrea all the existing Scoreboards are not copied for a particular user. The way the scoreboards work remains the same, the additional capbility is for the users to make changes to one or more existing scoreboards and save as thier own (copy) which will be available only to them.

from Avneesh Bhatnagar (CA) to Everyone:

so thier saved scoreboard will be available only when they explicitly save it as thier own saved search. Does that help?

from Andrea Holmes to Everyone:

@Avneesh, that is still conflicting information.  The existing functionality DOES copy all of the role based Scoreboards for the user when they create Personalized Scoreboards giving them their own copy of all of the Role Based scoreboards + the ones they have created.  Does this new functionality also do this?

from Pedro to Everyone:

Hello everyone

from Avneesh Bhatnagar (CA) to Everyone:

Yes so that would remain the same meaning teh role based access however now the analyst will also be able to go to the filters screen and modify the scorboard that is avaliable to them as per their role and create a copy only for them and not the role, which will be avilable just for them, technically I am sure that is a different mechanism, we can get you more information on those mechanics if you want for our technical team.

from Pedro to Everyone:

I'm testing Catalog/SDM integration with CA PAM. Any way to have only one list of users that can work with the 3 apps. Right now I create the same user 3 times: SDM user, EEM user and Catalog user

from Rajeev Kumar (CA) to Everyone:

@Pedro: Which version of SDM, Catalog, and PAM are you using ?

from Andrea Holmes to Everyone:

@Aveneesh, thank.  I do understand that this would be a copy just for them.  That's never been the question.  The problem is that we have had to remove the Personalize Scoreboards functionality from our users because it creating a duplicate, personal copy of the role based scoreboards is a problem.  It becomes an administrative nightmare because we would have to delete all of their personalized scoreboards anytime we make an update to the role based scoreboards. If the new capability to modify role based scoreboards and save them as their own.  If the new functionailty to modify a role based scoreboard and save it just for themselves also results in copying all of the role based scoreboards, then we have to prevent them from using this functionality as well.  Which is really too bad, it would be very useful if it ONLY created a copy of that one scoreboard and added it to the role based scoreboards instead of making them a personal copy of all of the role based scoreboards.

from Pedro to Everyone:

@ Rajeev: SDM 14.1, Catalog 14.1, PAM 4.3 and EEM 12.5

from Rajeev Kumar (CA) to Everyone:

@Pedro: Thanks! Please take a look at the Common Administration capability that was added in 14.1. The capability enables creation of of user across SDM and Service Catalog. It may not help on the PAM side though.

from Alexander Perretti to Everyone:

@Pedro, here is a Wiki article on the Common Administration feature: https://wiki.ca.com/display/CASM1401/Administrative+Service+Offerings

from Alexander Perretti to Everyone:

This may be better: https://wiki.ca.com/display/CASM1401/Administering+CA+Service+Management

from Avneesh Bhatnagar (CA) to Everyone:

@Andrea it's doing what you have mentioned as "very useful if it ONLY created a copy of that one scoreboard". It Does not copy all the role based scorebaords and save them as a personal copy. Only when the analysts wants to make changes to one particular scorebard and save it as thier own they can do it. The rest of the scorebaords will still remain as common and will be updated as and when the admin wants to make changes to them.

from Andrea Holmes to Everyone:

@Avenesh, great, that's what I wanted to hear

from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:

Does anyone have any additional questions they would like to ask?

from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:

Thanks everyone!
