With large environments a report can take a long time to load. We have seen times when a report will load in 28 seconds and the 30 second auto refresh kicks off before you can even read the report.

Of course you can always disable the Auto Refresh on each page by using the Options menu.

But what if you preferred to globally disable the auto refresh.

Well lucky for you in our guides we provide a way to do this. Some of you may not have been aware this document existed but it has been there since UCM 3.5.

Programmatically Disable the Auto Refresh Feature - CA Unified Communications Monitor

The Auto Refresh feature of the CA UC Monitor management console is available on a per-view basis, and does not persist across login sessions. Auto Refresh is ON by default for all views when users log in. Users can disable it as needed for the current login session.

However, an administrator can choose to globally disable the feature should automatic refreshing result in performance issues. When disabled globally,Auto Refresh is OFF by default for all views when users log in. Users can enable it as needed for the current login session.

Follow these steps:

1. Open a command line window on the CA UC Monitor management console server.

2. At the prompt, type mysql.

3. At the mysql> prompt, type the following line of code:

INSERT INTO netqosvoipconsole.general (Attribute, Value) VALUES ("WebSite.AutoRefreshDefault", "false") ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE Value=VALUES(Value);

4. Press Enter.
     The Auto Refresh feature is globally disabled.

5. At the mysql> prompt, type exit to quit the mysql session.

Tip: To globally re-enable the Auto Refresh feature, use the following line of code:

INSERT INTO netqosvoipconsole.general (Attribute, Value) VALUES ("WebSite.AutoRefreshDefault", "true") ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE Value=VALUES(Value);
