Are you seeing the following message when trying to upgrade CA Workload Control Center (WCC) to 11.4 SP1/SP2?
The prerequisite checks failed.

The CA Workload Automation AE SDK cannot be installed on this computer for the
following reason:
An earlier version of CA Workload Automation AE is already installed. This
version of SDK cannot be installed.
The foregoing message is reported by the CA WCC installer because of the existence of a previous version of CA Workload Automation AE (WAAE) Client and/or SDK, installed from WAAE media. For example, WAAE 11.3.5 or WAAE 11.3.6 (base) or WAAE 11.3.6 SP1.
Explanation:
CA WCC requires and hence installs fewer WAAE-SDK files compared to a full WAAE Client/SDK install. When a previous version of (full) WAAE Client/SDK installation is detected, the WCC installer exits gracefully because, upgrading the WAAE-SDK partially may lead to incompatibilities in WAAE Client executable/binary/library files.
How to know what version of AutoSys Client/SDK is installed?
On Unix/Linux:
Execute command
# lsm -l -O pif
If you see only CAWorkloadAutomationAE-SDK under PRODUCT column, then WAAE SDK is from the existing CA WCC install.
If you see both CAWorkloadAutomationAE and CAWorkloadAutomationAE-SDK, then WAAE Client and/or SDK is installed previously using CA WAAE media.

To resolve this WAAE-SDK pre-check failure, please upgrade the WAAE Client/SDK using their respective WAAE Release DVD media, prior to attempting WCC 11.4 SP1/SP2 upgrade.
