Subject: CABI 4.1 SP3 Removal from Product Packaging

 

CA Technologies is continually working to improve our software and
services to best meet the needs of our customers.  Today many CA solutions utilize reporting
through CA Business Intelligence (CABI), which is built on the underlying SAP®
BusinessObjects product.  After carefully
evaluating the best interests of our customers and CA Technologies, we are replacing
the reporting engine used in upcoming versions of CABI.

 

If you are an existing supported customer prior to April 1, 2016
and utilizing CABI 4.1 within any products identified above, you are entitled
to continue receiving support for CABI 4.1 until it reaches its End of Service.  Starting with release 14.0, all reporting
functionality will be moved into the DSM Reporting component. Should you choose
to upgrade to 14.0, please note that the DSM Reporting component will replace
CABI for all out-of-the-box reports. 

 

In preparation for this, CABI 4.1 SP3 media will be removed from all
12.9 product kits currently available for download through support.ca.com by
March 31st 2016.  However,
this removal does not impact your ability to continue receiving support for
CABI 4.1 SP3 within your 12.9 implementation beyond March 31st 2016 and
until end of service for CABI 4.1 is announced.
In consideration of any potential need to have the CABI 4.1 ISO image in
support of your current 12.9 implementation beyond March 31st 2016,
you are encouraged to download and archive the image before March 31st
2016.
