Tech Tip: CCC help link patch

When you click the Help link, Capacity Command Center displays an incorrect version of the help topic. To fix this problem, install the CCC Help Link Patch as follows.

Install the Help Link Patch on Windows:

Prepare the deployment of the CCC_help files. Follow these steps:

  1. Create a new folder named CCC_help, and copy the CCC_help.zip file to that folder.
  2. Unpack the CCC_help.zip file.
  3. The ZIP file contains:
    • Html (folder)
    • Deferredjs (folder)
    • com.hyperformix.pb.CCC.nocache.js (file)
    • AboutBox$1.class (file)
    • AboutBox.class (file)
    • Client.class (file)

Deploy the CCC_help files on Windows. Follow these steps:

  1. Back up the current html files from <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\com.hyperformix.pb.CCC\ to Desktop.
  2. Back up all the folders from <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\com.hyperformix.pb.CCC\deferredjs to Desktop.
  3. Back up com.hyperformix.pb.CCC.nocache.js from <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\com.hyperformix.pb.CCC\ to Desktop.
  4. Back up the AboutBox.class and AboutBox$1.class files from <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\WEB-INF\classes\com\ca\commons\r7\client to Desktop.
  5. Back up the Client.class file from <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\WEB-INF\classes\com\hyperformix\commons\gwt\client to Desktop.
  6. Copy all the html files from the Html folder to <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\com.hyperformix.pb.CCC\.
  7. Copy all subfolders from the Deferredjs folder to <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\com.hyperformix.pb.CCC\deferredjs.
  8. Copy the com.hyperformix.pb.CCC.nocache.js file to <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\com.hyperformix.pb.CCC\.
  9. Copy the AboutBox.class and AboutBox$1.class files from the CCC_help folder to <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\WEB-INF\classes\com\ca\commons\r7\client.
  10. Copy the Client.class file from the CCC_help folder to <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\WEB-INF\classes\com\hyperformix\commons\gwt\client.
  11. Back up the Menu.jsp file from <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\DM to Desktop.
  12. Copy the Menu.jsp file from the CCC_help folder to <ccc_install_folder>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\DM to Desktop.
  13. CCC Service Start/Stop:
  • Go to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools. Click Services.
  • Select the Apache Tomcat 7.0 CA_CCC service.
  • Restart the selected service.

  1. Back up the current html files from /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/com.hyperformix.pb.CCC/ to Desktop.
  2. Back up all the folders from /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/com.hyperformix.pb.CCC/deferredjs to Desktop.
  3. Back up com.hyperformix.pb.CCC.nocache.js from /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/com.hyperformix.pb.CCC/ to Desktop.
  4. Back up the AboutBox.class and AboutBox$1.class files from /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/WEB-INF/classes/com/ca/commons/r7/client to Desktop.
  5. Back up the Client.class file from /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/WEB-INF/classes/com/hyperformix/commons/gwt/client to Desktop.
  6. Copy all the html files from the Html folder to /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/com.hyperformix.pb.CCC/.
  7. Copy all subfolders from the Deferredjs folder to /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/com.hyperformix.pb.CCC/deferredjs.
  8. Copy the com.hyperformix.pb.CCC.nocache.js file to /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/com.hyperformix.pb.CCC/.
  9. Copy the AboutBox.class and AboutBox$1.class files from the CCC_help folder to /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/WEB-INF/classes/com/ca/commons/r7/client.
  10. Copy the Client.class file from the CCC_help folder to /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/ccc/WEB-INF/classes/com/hyperformix/commons/gwt/client.
  11. Back up the Menu.jsp file from /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/DM to Desktop.
  12. Copy the Menu.jsp file from the CCC_help folder to /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/webapps/DM to Desktop.
  13. CCC Service Start/Stop:
  • Go to the bin directory of Apache from console:

          cd /opt/CA/<ccc_install_folder>/ApacheTomcat/bin/

  • Run the following commands:

./shutdown.sh

./startup.sh
