Apr 15, 2016 06:12 PM

The Infrastructure Management Business Unit is pleased to announce the General Availability (GA) of CA Application Delivery Analysis 10.6 and CA Virtual Multi-Port Monitor 10.6.

New in this Release

CA Virtual Multi-Port Monitor

This is a new software product which runs on specific third-party hardware that provides a similar kind of traffic monitoring to the CA Multi-Port Monitor.

CA Multi-Port Monitor to CA Virtual Multi-Port Monitor Migration

CA Virtual Multi-Port Monitor provides the ability to upgrade a CA Multi-Port Monitor 10.5 appliance to a CA Virtual Multi-Port Monitor 10.6 system.

CA Application Delivery Analysis

There were minor changes made to CA Application Delivery Analysis to be able to identify CA Virtual Multi-Port Monitors.

CA Virtual Multi-Port Monitor and 3rd Party Server Support

CA has worked with Dell and CCI (a systems integrator) to certify specific hardware on which to run CA Virtual Multi-Port Monitor software, depending on customers’ requirements for bandwidth and medium.  To complement the three CA Virtual Multi-Port Monitor offerings (2x10, 4x1, 8x1), Dell and CCI will be offering five different Dell PowerEdge server configurations. The extra configurations result from giving customers a choice of either copper or fiber connectivity. Please contact your CA sales representative for further information.  Note that these servers will not be sold by CA, but rather by Dell and CCI.
