BACKUP before you do anything.

To change the jboss location after installation:

Example: Need to change from the default (c:\jboss-4.2.3.GA\) to C:\Jboss. Following are the tokens and files that need to be updated.
It’s recommended to delete /tmp and /work and rename server.log file to check for errors after startup.

Registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\CA\IAM Suite\Access Control\AppServerHome

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\EventLog\Application\JBAS50SVC\EventMessageFile
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\JBAS50SVC\ImagePath
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\JBAS50SVC\Parameters\WorkingPath

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\EventLog\Application\JBAS50SVC\EventMessageFile\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\JBAS50SVC\ImagePath
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\JBAS50SVC\Parameters\WorkingPath

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Application\JBAS50SVC\EventMessageFile
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\JBAS50SVC\ImagePath
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\JBAS50SVC\Parameters\WorkingPath

Files
run_idm.bat JBoss\bin
server.xml from JBoss\server\default\deploy\jboss-web.deployer

run_idm.sh has the path, but is not used on Windows

run_idm.bat.bak has the path as well but it's a backup file.
