May 06, 2016 06:33 PM

DevTest Portal Login Screen Message

When you install DevTest 9.1, out of the box both the Registry and the Enterprise Dashboard are configured to the Derby database. So when you log into the DevTest Portal on port 1507, you will see a message regarding the database as shown below -

As shown above, you can do a mouse over/hover over the components word and it should tell you that both the Registry and the Dashboard are configured with Derby.

If you would like to get rid of this message, it would mean to -

- configure both the Registry and the Dashboard to the other supported Enterprise Databases.

Configure to external database

You would then go into the following and point each of them to their own database. NOTE: Using the same database schema for both Registry and Dashboard is not supported.

- site.properties file for the Registry  (say database name would be Devtest9.1-Registry)

- local.properties for the Dashboard   (say database name would be Devtest9.1-Dashboard)

Restart the Enterprise Dashboard which will generate the required tables in its database.

Restart the Registry which will generate the required tables in its database.

Verifying the DevTest Portal

So now when you log into the DevTest Portal on port 1507, the message that you saw earlier will no longer be seen -

Hope this helps you!

Enjoy!!
