There are 4 types of APM Siteminder integration available:

a) APM for Siteminder allows you to monitor performance data from Siteminder-protected web servers that forward requests to a Weblogic and Websphere application server that are being instrumented by the Introscope agent. This integration provides visibility into:

- Transaction execution time spent in the SiteMinder Web Agent

- How the SiteMinder Application Server Agent affects the performance of J2EE transactions

For more information, see "APM for SiteMinder Application Server Agents Guide.pdf"

This product is part of the APM license and it is available from CA Support Online

b) APM Siteminder SNMP Collector allows you to connect to the Siteminder SNMP agent to retrieve data about the Policy Servers and Web Agents

This integration works by polling a few SNMP metrics exposed by Policy Server. Make sure that the SNMP is installed and configured in the Policy Server.

For more information, see "APM for SiteMinder SNMP Collector Guide.pdf"

This product is part of the APM license and available from CA Support Online

c) CA Wily Siteminder Manager requires an "Introscope plugin" to be enabled in the Siteminder WebAgents and an "Events handler" to be enabled in Siteminder Policy Server.
CA Wily Siteminder Manager requires to be installed in the same server as the Siteminder policy and webagent.

Siteminder policy and webagent report data to a shared memory segment which is then read by the CA Wily Siteminder Manager that sends the metrics to the Introscope Enterprise Manager.

This integration  provides much more metrics than the above 2 previous solutions as it is integrated natively into the Siteminder Product (both WebAgent and Policy Server).

This product is highly recommended but involves an extra cost. It is available from Wily Software delivery system

d) EPAgent for Siteminder SPS SiteMinder Secure Proxy Server (SPS) allows you to monitor the health of the SPS Tomcat server. This integration provides visibility into:

- SPS components average response time:

- HTTP Client component

- Each backend server average response time

- SPS wait time.

- Number of hits per each proxy rule
