Description:Question:When trying to open log file on MOM server( any server) it is saying the file is being used by another application and cannot be accessed. Explanation-

  • This message occurs when you try to open the file using Wordpad on Microsoft Windows.

  • Use Notepad to open.

Solution:

To check the CM or engine log file on Microsoft Windows, use the Notepad application. WordPad will not open the log file because the file is locked by the application. If you want to use WordPad, copy the file before opening it.
