CA eHealth® r220.127.116.11 is Generally Available

CA Technologies is pleased to announce the General Availability of CA eHealth® r18.104.22.168. Release 22.214.171.124 is a Maintenance Update to r126.96.36.199 which includes all solutions delivered in previous eHealth versions. Release 188.8.131.52 provides users with added security and more detailed and accurate performance management of their networked devices. Please refer to the bundled “ReadMe” document for eHealth 184.108.40.206 for detailed migration paths, installation steps, and device certifications.

The mission of CA eHealth is to update and enhance the device monitoring capabilities of the eHealth product for broader coverage and ease of IT Management, end to end. CA eHealth r18.104.22.168 contains the following product updates:
Updated Support for SmartCard Common Access Cards
In keeping with our commitment to supporting the needs of our customers who require card authentication, the CA eHealth team has made SmartCard support available for the first time to those running eHealth 22.214.171.124 on Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012 R2. Please refer to the “CA eHealth SmartCard Authentication Administration Guide” for complete list of supported OS platforms for eHealth 126.96.36.199.
Updated CA Integrations
This CA eHealth 188.8.131.52 release is newly compatible with the following CA product release versions:
- CA Single Sign-On 12.52 SP1 CR2 (FKA CA SiteMinder) · Arcserve r16.5 SP5 on Windows 2008, Windows 2012 r2, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5.11 and 6.5.
- Arcserve r16.5 SP4 on Solaris 5.10.
- CA Service Operations Insight (SOI) 4.0.
Third-Party Component Updates
CA eHealth 184.108.40.206 includes several component updates, including the following:
- Apache Tomcat 8.0.33
- Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.8.0_92

Key Device Certifications
Additional valuable content in this Maintenance Release is the new SNMP device certifications and certification updates. CA eHealth r18.104.22.168 includes new support for over 50 devices from numerous major vendors such as Cisco. The goal of the eHealth product team is to deliver significant mission-critical certifications in every release and maintenance kit. The CA eHealth r188.8.131.52 (the self-extracting install files for each of the supported operating systems) and associated ReadMe documents can be obtained via electronic download from our “Download Center” area on the CA Support site (http://support.ca.com).
Please fully review the ReadMe document, including the Migration Path and Install Instructions sections, before installing. It is important to note that a full backup of the eHealth database should be completed prior to patching, upgrading or updating any server system to r184.108.40.206, as a best practice. This backup will provide a roll-back method while minimizing the potential for data loss.

Migration Path Information
Since all CA eHealth maintenance kits are cumulative, you can install r.18.104.22.168 over any 6.3.2 revision. In order to determine your best migration path from an earlier eHealth revision, use the information in the migration table in the ReadMe; it describes update, upgrade, and migration paths from earlier CA eHealth versions.
