  CA Vantage 14.0


On behalf of CA Technologies, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services.  As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce the incremental release program for CA Vantage 14.0 has successfully completed. Many features requested by customers, as well as, latest maintenance introduced during the program have been incorporated into the ‘complete’ release for CA Vantage 14.0. 


CA Vantage 14.0 is designed to help customers better manage their storage devices with greater confidence.  The new release certifies support for PDSE 2, Adabas Updates, AT-TLS hints, IBM TS770, IBM DS8870 and Introduction of DB2 table space utilization objects.  Also, the breadth of CA Vantage monitoring, manage and optimization facilitation has been expanded even further to include support for EMC VMAX and BMC Control-T.  Additionally, modernization of the WebUI includes:

  • Visibility and control of storage from anywhere a browser can be accessed within the customer’s secure environment
  • Factory storage dashboard templates as designed by customers
  • Customizable dashboards to meet specific needs of a given user
  • Simple, intuitive graphing and historical trend charting of storage metrics
  • Eliminate the need for command line interface
  • Single destination to view all alerts

Note:  If you participated in the Version 14.0 Incremental Release Program, you do not need to re-install this ‘complete’ version 14.0.  Ensure you install the last Incremental Release PTF, INC05, which SUPs and PREs all prior Incremental PTFs.

We recommend that you use CA CSM to download and install both products.  CA CSM is designed to automate product acquisition, installation, deployment, configuration and maintenance and remove SMP/E complexities. CA CSM helps save time and resources when compared with the manual steps used to perform these tasks.   CA Vantage can be used with CA CSM today.
