Tech Tip: CCC 2.9.4 - Rollup Failing to Complete Due to Firewall Timeout Setting (DE248960)

Problem:

With a firewall implementation present on the CCC/DM or DB server, CCC rollup jobs may fail to complete, or the rollup status might not get updated, because of a firewall rule closing the database connection. With large amounts of data to be transferred, the CCC database operations during regression may take longer than the firewall’s timeout on idle connections.

 

Solution:

Increase the firewall TIMEOUT value on IDLE connections.
