Tech Tip - How to Enable Debug Logging for the CA PAM Client

The logs.log file is useful for troubleshooting problems with the CA PAM client.  The normal level of logging is not always sufficient to resolve every issue.  On those occasions it is necessary to increase the log level, to get advanced debug log messages.  Doing so is a simple matter of creating a file called log.user.properties in the folder where the client is installed.  An example may be seen below:

When you reconnect with the PAM client you should start seeing more detailed messages.  These will hopefully be sufficient for us to resolve your problem.  If not, we will have to discuss next steps with engineering, to figure out what to do next.
